Donvale Primary School has impressive facilities both inside the classrooms and outside in our extensive grounds. We are very lucky to be located in a quiet residential area, away from main roads. This allows us to have a dedicated pickup and drop off zone within the school grounds, and many parking options close to the school. Please take a look below at just some of our state-of-the-art classroom equipment and expansive outdoor spaces.
School grounds
Here is a photo of the front of our school with some of our new play equipment for the seniors. It is the first of its kind in Australia, and has been a great success with the children.

Large Oval
Our full size oval provides a fantastic arena to many sports activities and lots of games at recess and lunchtime.
We play host to many schools within the area on various sports days. Thanks to our great resources team, our grounds are always in excellent playing condition.
Computer Lab
The school has provided state of the art computer facilities which are constantly upgraded. There is a large lab containing 30 computers, pods of four desktop computers in each classroom and a class set of notebook computers for Year 5/6 students.
Interactive Whiteboards and data projectors are installed in every classroom, and these allow teachers to teach specific skills and give software demonstrations, and for groups of students to play educational games and display their work for the class.
Library
The spacious new Library is stocked with all the latest fiction and non fiction material for students to borrow. Comfortable furniture and bright natural light provide and fantastic environment for reading and sharing a love of literature.
Music Room
We have an outstanding music program at Donvale and pride ourselves on our students achievements in this area. Our facilities and range of instruments are exceptional. Music lessons are conducted for all students by our dedicated music teacher each week, where they learn the basics of singing, dancing, acting and playing instruments in a fun environment.
The Gymnasium (GP Room)
The Gymnasium is used for a range of Physical Education activities, Play Groups, Children's Discos, Meetings and even after hours Zumba classes!

A designated play area just for preps !
Passive play and eating area
This is a great space with overhead shade sails which is dedicated to passive play. Relax, read a book or have a chat with friends.
Junior Adventure Playground
One of the many pieces of play equipment provided by the school. A great area with natural shade provided by lots of trees, one of which has even played host to a resident owl !
The Senior Building
A great area comprising the Level 5/6 classrooms, the DTV studio, a student lounge, several meeting & conference rooms and a huge internal common area.
Senior Playground
With a basketball court, a volleyball court, a soccer field, a rebound wall and many four-square courts, the senior playground offers a range of activities for all students. The play equipment is always popular and well used.
Cricket nets
Another fantastic playing area for the kids. This also shows our path that runs from the back of the school along our oval to further parking areas. This path is also used by students and teachers for our gymnastics program and Manningham DISC. A great advantage for us as we do not have to use buses to get there, it is right next door !
Vegetable and Herb Garden
This photo looks towards our veggie patch and herb garden, which gets used by our Donvale Junior Chef club when cooking up yummy, healthy food.
Art Room
We have a large inspiring art room for fostering your child's creativity. With a dedicated and enthusiatic art teacher. Amazing creations can be seen throughout the school in various displays.
